During this holiday season, experience Bach’s full Christmas Oratorio at the Seine Musicale. This event – to be continued in January with the Purcell Choir and Orfeo orchestra – is a unique opportunity to listen to the first three cantatas of the piece performed by a superb quartet of soloists, all specialists of Bach’s music. While the texts are sourced from the Gospels of Luke and Matthew, the incredibly powerful music unveils the skilful architecture designed by the composer.
