Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
Great Mass in C minor
Left, like his Requiem, uncompleted, Mozart’s Great Mass in C Minor is one of the most celebrated works by the Austrian genius. Mozart composed it in honour of his future wife Constance, seriously ill at the time. The Mass is Mozart’s most impressive, alternating bright, sprightly choruses with agile, airborne soprano arias including the celebrated Incarnatus est in which flute and oboe engage with the soloist.
