Symphonie n° 4 « Italienne »
⚠️ CANCELLATION ⚠️
Due to the measures taken in the context of the health crisis, we regret to announce the cancellation of the concert initially scheduled for November 21, 2020 at the Grand Théâtre d’Aix en Provence.
Viva Italia! To open their season at La Seine Musicale, Insula orchestra and Laurence Equilbey explore the influence that Italy had on three great German composers. In The Marriage of Figaro, Mozart draws inspiration from the commedia dell’arte, while Beethoven used the conventions of the Italian concert aria to write Ah ! perfido. Mendelssohn’s later Symphony n° 4 is imbued with happy memories of the countryside round Rome.
